INHOPE members elect new President
A new president of INHOPE for a period of two years became a representative of the Latvian Hotline Agnese Krike.
At the Annual General Meeting held in Riga (Latvia) on the
25th April, INHOPE members elected Agnese Krike as the new President of INHOPE. Agnese has been the dynamic Latvian hotline manager for the past
six years and is an integral part of the Latvian Internet Centre. She brings
her in depth knowledge of a complete SIC and communications experience to the
Board. At the time of her election, Agnese had been serving as an INHOPE Board
member without portfolio for one year.
The INHOPE members also elected Amela Efendic as a new
Board member without portfolio. Amela is the Director of the International
Forum of Solidarity – EMMAUS (Bosnia-and-Herzegovina) which runs the
sigurnodijete hotline. Amela has been a tireless advocate of victims of human
trafficking. In 2011, she received the Trafficking in Persons Award from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The rest of the Board remains unchanged, with John Shehan
serving as Vice-President of INHOPE, Zuzanna Polak serving as Treasurer of INHOPE and Imme Pathe as INHOPE Board Member without portfolio.
